Road Marking Removal

Road lines removed easily from concrete, tarmac and block paving, without fumes!

The low pressure sand jet is different from other white line removing technologies being totally environmentally friendly as it uses no toxic slurries and generates no fumes. It has a low consumption and hence creates little mess, and it is quick, compact and clean enough to not require elaborate barricades to protect the public (footpaths do not require closing). The system also does not cause surface damage and it is highly mobile.

While we cannot compete with the speed of the more powerful burning systems for white line removal, we do not leave melted tarmac or residue, and do not generate black smoke. We are able to help particularly where there is a need to remove white lines or paint from concrete (smooth or patterned), block paving, or from inner city areas where environmental policy rules out burning. Our only residue is a little sand, water and the line material, which can be washed or vacuumed away.

	A Painted tennis court baseline removed from a brand new tennis court. (on a foggy day!). Tennis court paint can be freshened up, keyed to make it more non-slip or completely removed.

The low pressures mean that the system is gentle enough to clean delicate surfaces, yet powerful enough to strip multiple layers of paint in one pass.
It is not a chemical process so no noxious or harmful slurries or fumes are generated.
No heating so can safely be used on concrete surfaces.
Faded or dirty lines can be 'freshened up' - removing surface dirt or tyre marks. No need to lay new markings over the top.
Heavily textured surfaces can be dealt with ease.
Expended abrasive can be swept or vacuumed up.
Considerably less mess than other systems, and no fumes from burning paint.
Cleaning to the requirements of BS 8221-1&2 :2000 the British Standard Code of Practice for Cleaning and Surface repair of buildings.
